The support people underestimate

Ask someone what would help most and they rarely say cleaning. Ask what they’ve stopped doing and it’s the vacuuming, the bed and the shop. It’s often the support that keeps someone at home longest.

You know within a fortnight whether the house is clean and whether you like the person doing it. Self-managing means you can change them.

What it does not cover

Support at Home doesn’t cover a property you don’t live in, work on a rental you own, or jobs that belong to a landlord. If you’re unsure, ask before you book.

Is cleaning actually covered?

Yes. Cleaning, laundry and shopping are a funded category under Support at Home, drawn from your quarterly budget.

Can I use the cleaner I already pay for privately?

Often yes, provided they’ll invoice through us and meet the compliance requirements. Self-managing means you aren’t handed a stranger.

How often can someone come?

As often as your budget supports and your provider can staff. Most people start fortnightly and adjust from there.
