Why home visits beat clinic visits

An occupational therapist in your kitchen sees the cupboard you can’t reach. A physiotherapist on your front step sees the step. Better assessment, and no trip to make.

It’s also preventative. Falls prevention, strength maintenance and early work on swallowing or foot problems stop a hospital admission rather than follow one.

Booking your own practitioners

You can keep the physio you’ve seen for years, provided they’ll invoice through us. If you don’t have someone, we show you the allied health partners in your postcode with costs attached.

Questions people ask

Can Support at Home pay for physiotherapy?

Yes. Allied health is a funded category, drawn from your quarterly budget. How many sessions that supports depends on your assessed classification.

Can I keep my own physio or podiatrist?

Usually yes, if they’ll invoice through Partner with Care. Independent practitioners and small clinics are welcome.

Do I need a GP referral?

No, not the way you would for a Medicare care plan. Your GP’s input is useful though, and most practitioners will want it.
